Chelsea to beat FC Copenhagen 3-0

It's been a while since my last tip so here I am offering you a very tasty bet in a Champion's League last 16 second leg encounter between Chelsea and FC Copenhagen.

Chelsea head into this second leg with their Danish counterparts already with a 2-0 lead and will be hoping for a repeat performance of their win in Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago.

Chelsea have had an indifferent season so far and the Champion's League sees Chelsea's only real opportunity of winning silverware this season.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have already been eliminated from the FA Cup and League Cup this season and look certain to miss out on retaining their Premier League crown. They currently see themselves as low down as fourth position in the Premier League, something many fans will have been shocked about.

This is where the Champion's League comes along. Roman Abramovich has bankrolled the London club for a number of years now and yet the Champion's League still evades the trophy cabinet of Stamford Bridge.

This year is one of the most unpredictable in the footballing world, for starters who would have thought Shaktar Donetsk and Tottenham Hotspur would have found their way into the quarter finals of Europe's elite club competition.

Chelsea boss Ancelotti will have rammed into the player's heads that the Champion's League represents their best chance of silverware this season and a second leg clash against FC Copenhagen is just what they need.

Betting Slip
The Danish side are relatively unknown on the European circuit but Chelsea should easily have enough class and quality to overcome the minnows. Copenhagen are currently offered as Champion's League outsiders and it is not hard to see why.

Building a fortress at home is essential as a basic foundation in Europe, something Copenhagen failed to do in the first leg and Chelsea managed to stroll to a comfortable 2-0 away victory, to leave them in good stead for the quarter finals.

Chelsea have managed to make Stamford Bridge a fortress and the recent win over Manchester United appears to have boosted the confidence of the Chelsea players a lot, just at the right time.

Chelsea play their second leg tonight at home and I can see no slip up for Carlo Ancelotti's side and I can see them strolling to another win and onto the next round.

In Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and Nicolas Anelka, Chelsea have one of the most feared strike forces in the world and today I can see them penetrating the Copenhagen defence and giving Chelsea a great chance of silverware this season.

That is why I have gone for Chelsea to beat FC Copenhagen 3-0 with Betfred, which is offered at 7/1 at Betfred.

I have put £1 on this result myself as I am confident I won't be far from the mark.
